Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies is one of the top 10 colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for a Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication. I opted for GGSIPU and not for DU due to the practical learning and holistic approach to education. The IPU course is designed in such a way that it is 50% practical-based learning. What I loved the most about Tecnia is that it had a separate multimedia lab, where we had different resources for photography, filming, news reading, production, editing, and even a radio studio. I think no journalism course can be that impactful without a multimedia lab. I got to learn things practically with real equipment and real experiences. It gave us a wide variety of opportunities. I had an interest in news reading and anchoring, and I got to shoot my own news podcast in the lab and had many events where I got the chance to try live anchoring, which I don't think any other college can provide. It was a great experience, and I would surely suggest people to go for this college if they're looking for a holistic approach to education.Read Full Review

The college is good to study but they really need to work on attendance issue, training and placements. The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies comes under Indraprastha University. Admission process here is no tough, it gets wind up hardly within a week. The college management is fine in terms of organizing events, fests, conferences, growth related programs, exams and other things. The fees paid should be quite less than when we had to pay as it is not much worth unless we are offered with some handsome packages. The college really needs to grow their manpower for training and placements department.Read Full Review
