Magadh Mahila College hostel is one of the largest hostels under Patna University and provides all the basic needs for self-growth. Bihar National College has separate hostels for its scholars. There are three separate hostel buildings for boys and girls, one for girls and two for boys. The main hostel building within the campus premises has four big blocks.

Patna University hostel food is delicious. Every hostel has its mess and provides healthy food at a very low price to the inmates. The mess fee varies according to the market prices. Even if the hosteller is absent from the mess they are subjected to pay the hostel mess fee.

Patna University hostel rules are to be followed by the hostellers. Social norms are followed that are required to live together. If a student is found guilty of the violation of rules they may be subjected to punishment including expulsion from the hostel.
