The college provides more than 40 courses currently with 18 undergraduate programs, 2 B.Tech programs, 12 post graduate programs, one postgraduate diploma, 2 undergraduate diploma, and 9 certificate courses. The current programs include B.A (Hons) Economics. B.A (Hons) English, B.Com. (Hons), B.Sc (Hons) Botany, B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics, M.A Political Science, M.Sc Zoology, etc.
The college has different eligibility criteria for courses in under graduation, certificate courses, post graduation, and diploma courses. All applicants must register themselves through The University of Delhi online admissions portal post which students are selected on the basis of marks secured in class 12th board examinations or in Entrance-exam. The merit list for students selected by the college is published on the website. Only eligible candidates who have registered through the online portal can be considered for admission. Foreign students are required to apply for admission through the Advisor, Foreign Students, University of Delhi.

The college is a Sikh Minority Educational Institute with 50% of the seats reserved for the Sikh Candidates and has no purview of reservations for SC / ST / OBC / EWS. Such candidates are considered in the Unreserved (UR) category if they meet the eligibility criteria.
The college encourages excellent students by giving awards and scholarships twice a year. Special functions are organised by the Students’ Welfare Committee which aims at providing financial assistance and improving the academic standards of the needy and deserving candidates. Every year more than 150 students are selected for Merit based scholarships.

The Placement cell present in the college is a full fledged training and placement cell which interacts with the corporate world to give more employment opportunities to the students and gives On-Campus opportunities. Organising talks, study abroad seminars, internship opportunities and workshops are some extra functions done by the placement cell. It is represented by more than 15 student representatives from various branches.
Students in their final year should apply with their credentials on the college website as companies will only consider final year students. Scores from 10th, 12th, First year, and Second year are considered before providing placements to the candidates. Science students should maintain a score of more than 60% & Commerce and Economics students should maintain a score more than 50%. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, IBM Daksh, Genpact, ICICI Prudential, Ernst and Young, etc are major recruiters in the college and select students every year on the basis of the marks secured.
The college is located in the north campus of Delhi University and is walking distance from Vishwavidyalaya metro station. The college campus is enabled with Wi-Fi access and with wired networks having more than 25 access points. The college provides students with more than 45 classrooms most of which are air-conditioned, 35+ classes have projectors. CCTV cameras are installed at the main entry gate, covering the surrounding areas, entry gate of girl’s hostel, library, and a few other strategic places. The security staff is present at particular locations and a police beat station is deployed at the college main gate for extra security. The college has branches for Punjab & Sind Bank inside the campus. The campus has an established Science Research Center for promotion of research activities.
