Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy started in 2006 by providing the B.Pharm program. The college later added certificate courses, an M.Pharm course with specialisations in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical quality assurance, and pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, and a Ph.D in pharmaceutical sciences. The college was established by the Ambe Durga Education Society. It is affiliated to the Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and is approved by PCI.

Admission Process
Students seeking admission to DBCOP can apply online through the college website. Admission will be confirmed after the verification of original documents. Candidates from SC, OBC, and SBC categories shall submit a Caste Validity Certificate while ST candidates need to submit a Tribe Validity Certificate. All EWS candidates need to submit the eligibility certificate for EWS while all backward class students need to submit the non-creamy layer certificate.
Ph.D students at the college can avail scholarships provided by the Government of Maharashtra and the regulating authority for fees. There are various other scholarship schemes for students including Pragati Scholarship Scheme, Saksham Scholarship Scheme, Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child, Merit cum Means Scholarship, etc.

The college organises certificate courses on topics such as communication skills, resume writing, and soft skill development. The purpose of the cell is to prepare students as per the industry standards for which it provides 6 weeks industrial training to students, a one-week course on handling modern equipment, and industry visits.
