Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy

Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy has a training and placement cell that invites several companies for campus interviews to recruit students. Recent employers of the college students include Cipla, Lupin Pharma, Cadila Health, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddys Labs, Alembic Pharma, Novartis India, Alkem Laboratories, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Wochardt Pharmaceuticals, etc.

The college organises certificate courses on topics such as communication skills, resume writing, and soft skill development. The purpose of the cell is to prepare students as per the industry standards for which it provides 6 weeks industrial training to students, a one-week course on handling modern equipment, and industry visits.

The campus is close to Shri Swami Samarth Dham Mandir, Nagpur. The campus covers an area of 5 acres and houses an academic building and a playground. The academic building is constructed as per the AICTE and PCI norms. The campus facilities include:

• Medicinal garden: The college has a medicinal garden known as the Dhanvantari Garden which is spread across 40,000 sq. ft. and consists of nearly 150 varieties of plants.
• Laboratories: The college has hi-tech labs with modern equipment needed for training and research. There are two store rooms where chemicals used in the labs are stored. There is a CPCSEA approved animal house for pre-clinical testing.
• Language lab and computer centre: The computer lab is air-conditioned and has many PC’s enabled with the latest software. The language lab has experts by whom students are trained in writing, verbal, and communication skills.
• Library: Students can access textbooks, reference books, journals, periodicals, newsletters, CDs, DVDs, etc. at the college library.
• Halls: The college has a conference hall and a seminar hall with audiovisual facilities for hosting different events.
• Common room: There are separate common rooms for boys and girls with a cot and bed, dining tables, cupboards, sports facilities, etc.
• Sports: The campus has a playground spread across 2.5 acres where the college hosts state-level competitions. The Ambe Durga Education Society runs the Dadasaheb Balpande Cricket Academy where students can take sports training.
• Canteen: The college canteen provides fresh snacks, tea, coffee, and lunch for students, teachers, and staff.
• Transport: The college has made transport arrangements for students for travelling between the city and the campus.
