Every week we have to wear suits and get ready for an industrial tour. Morning to evening we spent at some industry or some IT head offices and that was a part of our study. I was ok with it but if it happens every week, you tend to get frustrated because first you to come to college and then college bus will take you there. We didn’t had the option to reach directly as all students have to go in queue just like a school trip. Lectures were done to crack jokes and talk about everything but the syllabus. Since it’s an autonomous college, we knew what questions will come in exams and we were prepared for that by our teachers itself. Every week we would be taken for industrial visits and have seminars at the college which was very new to me. I saw my fellow students interacting with such people but I never had the guts to do so. I tried my best to get involved as much as I can but my engineering mind always held me back. Come the third semester when assignments and projects were at its peak, I decided to get involved as much as I can. My fellow students and my teachers helped me a lot and getting appreciation for presentations boosted a lot of confidence in me. One thing that all should know is that management studies can be learned only through exposure. Books will hardly help. This is where ABBS have done well because the books weren’t that hefty and we were taken out for projects and seminars and all were conducted almost every week. In terms of exposure the institute has done exceptionally well but otherwise in terms of assignments and teaching the college lacked. We thought we will have 8 hours of classes daily and will learn a lot of new things in the classes. None of such things happened and most of the students would speak in local language and there was hardly any knowledge sharing among the students.Read Full Review
