The infrastructure is good and has new & modern facilities. The campus size is 40 acres. If you are really a nature lover then this institute is perfect for you. The classroom size is 100 students and very good condition. The institute has own library where you get the tech related books. The sports are also available for the games like cricket, football, and kabaddi.

According to me, the overall experience is very good because I am a nature lover. If we discuss about the crowd, institute is not very crowdy because it is for B.Tech. All the academic books are available in library. Campus academic block is well structured and classes are also separate of different year students. And there are different departments with separate building. Sport facility is not that good but institute provides good gym facilities. Canteen is also there which provides different meals on affordable prices. My favorite thing in Institute is library and canteen. Class’s infrastructure like tables, chairs and blackboard whiteboard and smart board all are available in institute classes.

Overall campus life is average. Institute’s crowd is very less around 700 students are there in our institute. there are many clubs present in THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology like entrepreneur club, cultural club, literature club, sports clubs, etc. Fest and events also organised in institute. THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology boasts exceptional building infrastructure as it is build by THDC. The classrooms are spacious with natural light. They are equipped with smart boards, white board and green boards. The seating is comfortable. IHET has a well maintained central library with rich collection of books for academics, research, competitive examination, newspapers, magazines and journals. The central canteen is a lovely place to enjoy company of friends and also a great one for a date. There is also a gym that is open in mornings and evenings.

Campus Life is not very exciting. New Tehri is a hill town with small market. Plus the college is situated 15 kilometers far from the town. The scenic beauty of place invites students from plains to experience life in hills. Clubs are there, but their programs are very formal and boring. IHET cricket league is conducted once every semester. It is the source of joy for students.
