In the year 1946, the foundation stone for the birth of BMS College of Engineering was laid by the late Sri B.M Sreenivasaiah who started this first private engineering college in India with the objective of providing high-quality technical education. BMS College of Engineering ranking in India is among the top 15 engineering colleges in the country.
Located in Basavangudi, Bangalore, BMS College is a renowned autonomous educational institute affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) of Karnataka. BMSCE has been providing education in the field of engineering and technical domain since more than seven decades. The college upholds its vision of “Promoting prosperity of mankind by augmenting human resource capital through quality technical education and training.”
The college trains the students in a way that they have a more practical exposure to technical and industrial concepts in addition to theoretical knowledge gained in the classrooms. This autonomous institute is recognized by UGC since 2008 is also accredited to the prestigious AICTE, New Delhi.
BMSCE is also an AICTE recognized QIP Centre for Technology and Engineering. It is the sole Indian institution that has partnered with the well-known Melton Foundation of the United States of America.
