Having started academic operations during the year 2007, the Bhaskar Engineering College (BEC) is located in Ranga Reddy, Telangana. Also, the BEC has the approval and recognition of the Government of Telangana state and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), respectively. More so, the College is having affiliation with Hyderabad-based Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU, Hyderabad).

At BEC, the aspirants can enroll in undergraduate Engineering courses in a host of disciplines. Moreover, as per the Career360 Magazine Ranking 2013, the BEC Ranking in India is ‘AA grade’ under the State Engineering Colleges.

The BEC comes under the umbrella of the JB Group of Educational Institutions. The Group started operations under the aegis of the JB Educational Society that was set up in the year 1993. The Group’s Founder and Chairman was the renowned visionary leader, the Late. Sri J. Bhaskar Rao.

The Group has other Engineering colleges, Medical Colleges and General Hospitals, too. Furthermore, the College is fully equipped, having modern infrastructural facilities. Similarly, the BEC library spans over 600 meters and is well-maintained. Also, the Library boasts of a huge cache of educational resources for facilitating learning for the pupils. Indeed, the Library has a wide collection of books, journals, magazines, periodicals, and newspapers. Other than that, there are question papers, e-journals, project reports, and back volumes. Moreover, there are audio-visual aids that the Library offers the students.

Besides, the Library follows the Open Access System for the pupils to refer to the resources.

Also, as part of the Library’s efforts to keep the students updated about the latest developments in the Engineering and Technology sector, there are subscriptions to a vast number of printed National and International Journals. Additionally, there are 4 departmental libraries and a reading room for the students’ use.

Further, there are a host of services that the Library provides. There is a Digital Library, Online Public Access Catalogue Services, Newspaper Clipping Service, Reference Services, Book Bank Section, Photocopying facilities, Reprographic facilities, and Inter-library loan service.
