Mizoram University, Aizawl established in 2000 is a Central University, currently having 101-150 position in NIRF Ranking 2024. Mizoram University Aizawl is approved by AICTE, UGC and AIU, and is accredited by NAAC-A. Admission in Mizoram University is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
Mizoram University was established in 2000 and started its operations from the year 2001. It was established with the objective of providing education, training, advancing knowledge, and emphasising on enhancing the economic and social conditions of the society. MZU is a Central University approved by UGC and AICTE. The University is accredited by NAAC with “A” grade and is ranked first amongst the central universities of the North East region.

MZU has a Career Counseling and Placement Cell which was established with a objective of providing career guidance and placement opportunities to the students. It acts as a link between the firms and the students and provides information to the students about various career opportunities. Students are given training to enhance their skills and knowledge catering to the industries requirements. Workshops, seminars, personality development programs, mock interviews, tests, group sessions, etc. are conducted by the Cell to provide assistance and guidance to the students.
MZU is located in Aizawl and is spread over 978.1988 acres in the countryside. The University is connected by road from Guwahati, Silchar, Shillong, etc., and by air from Imphal, Guwahati, and Kolkata. It is rich in fauna and flora, and has a pleasant climate and natural beauty.
