New Horizon College of Engineering is a part of the New Horizon educational institution. It was established in the year 2001 in the IT city Bangalore. The institute practices and fosters ‘holistic education’ that is a unique blend of co-curricular, curricular and extracurricular learning and activities. The lush green college campus is enveloped by a beautiful surrounding that is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This autonomous institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum. It is recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC). It has been accredited as ‘A’ grade college by NAAC and NBA.

The institution has high academic standards the admission procedure maintains it by admitting students with high caliber. For B.E programme the candidate must have passed 12th standard from any recognized board or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Minimum 45% aggregate marks in physics and mathematics along with anyone subject Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer Science is essential.
A candidate who has cleared entrance exam and has a valid score of KCET and Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association (KRLMPCA UGCET) are also eligible for applying in BE.
For Post-graduation programmes such as M.Tech, MBA and MCA the candidate must have a valid score of KPGCET followed by counseling. A candidate who has qualified GATE exam can also apply for M.Tech. Aggregate marks in degree should not be less than 50% for General category and 45% for SC/ST/CAT-1 category.
NHCE also accepts CAT/MAT/XAT score for admission in MBA. Candidates those who wish to pursue a Ph.D or M.Sc. (Engg) can register through VTU. The selection is based on the Research Aptitude test followed by an interview.
Academia has a specific module and assures to follow it. The minimum attendance requirement for Semester end examination is 85%. Those who fail to meet the criteria are unable to sit in the semester exam.
As per National Institutional Ranking Framework-2019 (NIRF), it is the Top Engineering College in India. According to ASSOCHAM, NHCE is the best engineering in south-India. In 2019, the institute has been awarded as the Best technical Institute for Employability in South India. In 2016 it was rewarded as Outstanding Technical Education Institute in Karnataka. It is ranked 15th in India amongst the best private technical schools, ranked no. 2 in Karnataka, 5th in South India.
