The JBREC offers a range of B. Tech and M.Tech programs, with a choice in different specializations.
Under the JBREC courses at undergraduate levels, the Institute offers specializations in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.
The JBREC’s B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering course is a full-time, 4-year, and undergraduate-level one. The course imparts learning on the emerging trends of Mechanical Engineering. Thus, the pupils become equipped to face the various challenges of industries in the ME field. In other words, the student can avail quality education and research facilities for them to build careers as Mechanical Engineers.
To be eligible for this course, the candidates have to qualify the TS EAMCET entrance exam, following which they have to attend the web-based counseling rounds.
More so, they have to pass the 10+2 standard exams. Additionally, their compulsory subjects have to include Physics and Mathematics. Also, their optional subjects should be Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry. Besides, if the applicants have completed vocational courses in Engineering & Technology, then also they are eligible. For the general category candidates, they have to score minimum 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination; the reserved classes, 40%.
The specializations under the JBREC postgraduate programs include in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Software Engineering, and VLSI Embedded Systems.
The M.Tech CSE course is for 2 years, having 4 semesters. This full-time, postgraduate-level program equips the pupils to work in assignments of the software field. Also, both coursework and project-work are part of the course curriculum. The first 2 semesters are for coursework, and the final 2 semesters are dedicated for projects.
The course’s eligibility criteria state that the applicant has to pass the GATE or TS PGECET entrance examinations. Only then, they are eligible to appear for the web-based counseling process. Note that the counseling procedure for the candidates who have cleared GATE or TS PGECET is different.
Moreover, the candidate has to secure the Bachelors degree (BE/B.Tech.) in relevant discipline. Also, the candidates applying via the general category have to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in the aforesaid exams; for the reserved sections, minimum 45% aggregate marks is the requisite.
The JBREC MBA program has a 2-year duration that spans 4 semesters. The pupils can choose among a host of specializations: Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management. The program aims to develop business leaders by imparting skills and knowledge, while developing a professional attitude, in areas of business management.
The Institute’s MBA admissions are based on the aspirants’ scores in the TS ICET entrance exam. The Kakatiya University conducts this exam on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE). Also, as per the course’s other eligibility norms, the candidates have to have graduate degrees in any stream and from a recognized Board. Besides, in the qualifying exam, they have to score 50% (or above) aggregate marks; the reserved categories have 5 % relaxation.
