GEC Gandhinagar Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The books are not provided to the students. Library is present where students can read these books. Campus is of around 4-5 acres and it is based in the locality of Gandhinagar only. Anyone can reach through public transportation. Classes are well cleaned and approximately 60 students can sit there. Library and labs are also there for each course in their own department. Auditorium is there and it's common for all departments. Seminar rooms are there in each department. Canteen is also there but it only contains snacks. No medical facilities or sports are played in the campus. As campus is covered with trees and gardens, my favorite spot is to sit there and study.

Overall, my campus life of Government Engineering University is excellent and I have got very good relations from here. There is no crowd in the University as it is surrounded by trees and is around 2-3 km away from the city. Yes, Google club- is run by the students of the University but I am not part of it. There are no extracurricular activities organized by University. Only sports festival and days are celebrated once in a year by students themselves. The campus is planned in such way that you could only see 2 or 3 storey buildings. There are no grounds for playing. The classrooms are big enough but the benches are not maintained, some fans are not maintained, labs in the college do not have enough equipment, and the computers are not working properly.

Campus life is not that great as there are no fests. Yes, there are clubs which help you to improve and polish your skills. They also guide you in the right path. There are few seminar sessions conducted by the college from which some are useful for your career.Read Full Review

There are 8 buildings in all and all the buildings have a number assigned to them. Our department building was number 5 and right next to that was the library which was building number 4. There are 3-4 small gardens inside the campus. The labs had a good set of computers and all connected to the server that had a Lan speed of 30-40 Mbps. The entire campus also was fully Wi-Fi and all the buildings have security cameras installed. The college canteen was average as I just had tea or coffee there because the one who has had food there already told me to dare if I try food from there.

I just went to college twice a week maximum. I didn’t enjoy my college life as I should have but on the days I spend at the campus, were breathtaking. Some students used to do their assignments and I came to the college to copy that and present it when my turn came. More than 80% of the students did the same as there were just 4-5 students who did the assignments. The events were not that big and GTU fest hardly saw students from GEC participating. Education part depends on the student’s ability as rest all facility are more or less the same that you will find in most of the colleges.Read Full Review
