Established in 1998, Godavari Global University Rajahmundry was formerly known as Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET). It is an autonomous institution approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC. The college is recognised as one of the leading institutions in Andhra Pradesh and is permanently affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada.
GGU University Rajahmundry undergraduate engineering courses with 11 specialisation options and postgraduate courses with 8 specialisations. Additionally, students can also pursue MCA and MBA degrees.

Admission Process for B.Tech
Admission to Godavari Global University Rajahmundry allots seats to students under 2 categories - category A and category B. Category A students are admitted on the basis of rank in EAMCET / JEE. 70% of the seats for each course are occupied by category A students. On the other hand, category B students are those who belong to other states and UTs and NRIs or NRI sponsored and are admitted on the basis of merit. 30% of the total seats are allotted under this category.
Admission Process for M.Tech
Category A students applying to M.Tech, occupying 70% of the total seats, shall be admitted on the basis of rank in GATE / PGECET. Category B students shall occupy 30% of the seats and be selected on the basis of merit. PIO / Foreign Nationals / CWG candidates shall fill excess of 15% of the total seats.
