Satyam Fashion Institute is girls’ college and one of the top leading institutes of fashion in India. The college provides approved courses by University Grants Commission (UGC).  It is also the first university for female candidates in South Asia. This Fashion Institute has its affiliation with SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. Recently, the fashion industry has made its name in India and around the globe. It needs educated individuals to have a sense of knowledge about fashion for the growth of the fashion industry in India. That is where colleges like this are coming into action.

Satyam Fashion Institute offers Textile Design, Fashion Design, Lifestyle Design, and Fashion Communication. There are also Mass Media and a post graduation diploma in fashion design for two years. The college also has some short-duration programs. Several courses such as Photography, Portfolio maintenance, and Industrial internships are also there.

Satyam Fashion Institute takes admission of students on their entrance test (CET) qualification basis. The college conducts its entrance exam CET online and sends admit cards via mail in the month of May/ April. CET includes CAT (Creative Ability Test), GAT (General Ability Test), and Situation tests. If the candidate has cleared CET then they are asked to appear for a PI on the day their test is conducted. After clearing the interview the candidate will receive the form and prospectus from the college. Rs. 1000 is for B.Design / Diploma and Rs.500 for BMM. The college provides a Bachelor of Design in Fashion, Textile, and Lifestyle Accessories Design. Fashion Communication for 4-year duration, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design for two years is also part of the courses offered.

Eligibility criteria for the following courses are mentioned below:

Bachelor of Design: Should have passed class XII from the central or statutory board such as CBSE, ICSE, or any state board during the admission year. Or if from a foreign country, should have passed the similar 10+2 system in India and approved by AIU, New Delhi.

Postgraduate Diploma in fashion designing: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any subject.

Things required at the time of admission in any course are:

• 10^th & 12^th class mark sheet, age proof, 7 color passport size photos, Transfer Certificate, Medical Certificate.

Note: Some seats are reserved for the Non-residence Indians (NRI) and some for the Management quota.

Satyam Faison Institute provides scholarships only in the first year up to 10% on the following criteria mentioned below:

1. Students who are having 80 percent and above marks on their mark sheet for class XII can avail the advantage of the Merit Scholarship.
2. If two real sisters (from the same parent) are studying in college, then they both will be getting the scholarship.
3. If anyone’s sister or daughter from the Satyam Fashion Institute’s staff is studying in the college. Then they will be getting the scholarship benefit.
4. If the daughter of any government official is studying in the college then they can also avail of the scholarship benefit.
5. The daughter of any Doctor or Para-medical staff of a government hospital will be getting the concession benefit.

Note: 5 seats are reserved in the college every academic year for the physically challenged or differently abled candidates.
