Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University has a well-established Training & Placement Cell that regularly monitors the process of training and recruitment. The Cell resolves the concerns and queries of students regarding the placement process. The key objective of the cell is to keep students informed and embed necessary skills in them so that they can get a suitable job. Students get training to improve their soft skills, communication skills, interview skills, language skills, and other professional skills.

Students of the university got placed in leading companies like Kimoha Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Nestlé India, Aditya Birla Group (Fashion and Retail Ltd.), CETPA Infotech, Collabera Inc, Reliance Industries Limited, Capgemini, Genpact, etc.

The major facilities provided by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University are described below:

• Library: The University has a well-equipped and fully stocked library that fulfils the research and academic requirements of students. Its key objective is to educate students with the help of various academic resources available here. The library has a wide collection of Digital and Printed Resources that help students in completing their research and project works.
• University Instrumentation Facility: This facility is equipped with advanced and updated equipment to conduct research activities in the field of Science, Technology, and Engineering. It provides students and researchers facilities to conduct their experiments.
• Business Lab: The University has built a Business Lab equipped with basic and advanced tools for the students pursuing management programs. Students get training on multiple applications of tools in Spreadsheet. They can complete their research work, dissertation, and small projects based on Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, etc.
• Open Air Theatre: The Open Air Theatre has been built over an area of approximately 600m² within the campus that can accommodate about 300 people. The theatre is used to organise various activities such as Cultural Events, Fresher Party, Theatre, Drama, etc.
• Hostel: The campus provides residential facilities for girl and boy students in separate buildings equipped with essential amenities. These hostels have cubical, two-seated, and three-seated rooms. All the hostels have basic facilities such as Geysers, Water Coolers, RO Systems, Common Rooms, and Medical Assistance. Common Rooms have facilities like TV, Newspapers, and Indoor Games. The premises of all the hostels follow hygienic practices to provide students a comfortable space.
• Sports: The Campus provides facilities for different sports like Football, Kabaddi, Swimming, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Boxing, Shooting, Archery, etc. Students are encouraged by the university to take part in various tournaments held on Inter-Collegiate and Inter-University levels.
• Medical: There is a Dispensary within the campus that provides medical assistance on a regular basis and in emergency situations. It also has an Ambulance that is used by the university to shift patients to hospitals in emergency.
• Transport: The University provides Bus services for its students to commute from city to the campus.
