Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Pune is a premier institute and who dreams about IT information security and Data analytics would love to join. In the trend of techno managerial education, SCIT provides the right space to explore different technologies to get prepared as per industry standards. Re-accredited with NAAC “A” grade, college primarily focuses on the main aim of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” principle which attracts the students to club with different cultures around. Initially SCIT has only ITBM as a branch and very recently 4 years back Data Sciences and Data Analytics has been included which is indeed a great course to pursue. SCIT campus has an interlink of SCMHRD as well so diverse backgrounds meet and share the same room. As a student What I observed is the growth and impact it is bringing in times of COVID-19 as well. Prioritizing online education is a little challenging these days but, in our college, I am not feeling it this way.

To join SCIT, one should register for SNAP test for which mostly exam will be conducted in the months of January - February. Post the written test, selected students will be called for campus to attend GDPI and Interview rounds. Since there are two branches in SCIT i.e., ITBM and DSDA, students can opt for both branches and either one during the written rounds and pay the application fee accordingly.Read Full Review

If you want to do an MBA in HR/Marketing then avoid SCIT as it is known for MBA in Information Security. If you do that you will surely find yourself working at the BIG 4. The college is located at the IT hub of Pune that is Hinjewadi. I will give you my perspective on life at SCIT. The college is in the same campus as SCMHRD. Another Symbiosis institute SIIB’s campus is just behind SCIT and you will have many superior brans in the same campus. The institute provided us many other activities and taught us to be future leaders. The evening and guest lectures by IT stalwarts made us learn the importance of IT sector and the role that they play. Interacting with them gave us an insight on how things work. Students of this institute have climbed the ladders and are now comfortably sitting as CTO, and CIO of various prestigious organizations.Read Full Review

From Mumbai to Pune the journey by road is not far but in terms of colleges and the student life, Pune I will have to say is much better. I have never been a fan of in-between things but SCIT has proved it that keeping a check on one department and thereby allowing the students to flourish in others will only help them give their best. I never had the guts to sing in front of crowd and the last time I did that was singing national anthem while I was 9 or 10. There was an open up session before the semester kicked in and we were asked about our hobbies. I said singing and was asked to sing. I kept denying but my fellow mates were in no mood to let it go and I had to finally sing. I thought I will be booed but trust me they all kept cheering and that loaded a hell of lot of confidence in me. This was my first memory at SCIT and during the course of 2 years, I made 1000 such memories.Read Full Review
