Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology started its academic session in 1999. It was setup to impart higher education in business management and information technology. It is a prominent IT business school whose goal is to nurture IT graduates and to make them capable of becoming future leaders. SCIT attempts to transform students into proactive and professional individuals through innovative teaching-learning methodology. SCIT is a constituent of Symbiosis International University. It was established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 and is accredited by NAAC.

Mission: To promote amongst students value based and ethical learning, develop global competencies, and instill sensitivity towards environment and community. SCIT offers MBA in IT Business Management, MBA in Data Science and Data Analytics, and Ph.D courses. Students are selected based on their scores in Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test. Based on the merit in SNAP Test students are called for Group Exercises and Personal Interview.
