The campus of the university was bestowed the ‘Best Infrastructure Award’ in the year of its inception. Uttaranchal University campus houses a set of stately buildings that are perfect epithets of architectural magnificence and sustainability. Some of these buildings include the guest house, cafeteria, shopping arcade, administrative block.
The infrastructure also houses majestic seminar halls, guest rooms, staff rooms, and modern-day workshops. The Central Library with a carpet area of 2430 sq. mtr is at the heart of the academic environment at Uttaranchal University. The library stocks an impressive collection of printed and electronic resources including but not limited to textbooks, audiovisuals, dissertations and theses databases.
The central library, together with the departmental libraries, is fully automated with LIBCYB software. The main library has a distinct multimedia section for getting access to NPTEL webcasts. The printed resources comprising of over 143670 textbooks continue to be the chief referential resources for students, faculties, and administrative staff members.
The computer center comes equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities, sophisticated Windows and Linux labs, and advanced servers. A 1000Mbps fiber optic network installed in the computer center links all the infrastructural facilities in the university. Uttaranchal University maintains its luxury bus fleet that plies on different routes of Dehradun for picking up students and transporting them back.
The academy integrates several university-level societies and clubs to encourage students to pursue extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Some of these clubs include the ‘Eco-Club,’ ‘Literary Society,’ ‘University Sports Society,’ and ‘University Cultural Society.’
