Devi Sharvani Education Society in 1973, established VM Salgaocar College of Law. With affiliation with Goa University, BCI has also given approval to the college. It is a Government aided college, providing various law courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The admission is based on the entrance exam followed by a merit list. The entrance exam will carry 50% marks and the other 50% marks will be academics.

The college provides scholarships for those students who are financially weak. This helps them in completing their education without any hassle. To avail these scholarships, candidates have to visit the scholarships portal, register themselves, and apply. One has to ensure to be eligible for the scholarships.
The Placement Cell at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law invites students to participate in the registration clinic. This initiative aims to help students learn about the registration process for properties and marriages. The college has signed a MoU with the Registration Department of the Government of Goa. Students interested in joining the Clinic can apply to offer their services at various Registrar offices throughout Goa. Before being placed at these offices, students will receive appropriate training. This initiative, in collaboration with the Government of Goa, ensures that all students who register and complete the training will be assigned to a Registrar Office of their choice. Selected students will assist the public after their classes and will be exempt from legal aid duties. This is a great opportunity to enhance students' legal skills.
