Tripura University hostel accommodation is available for male and female students.

Boys' hostels that provide occupancy are:

• R.S hostel for boys 
• P.G hostel for boys 

Women's hostel is allotted for female students.

Tripura University hostel rooms are well-equipped and are allotted a cot, an almirah, a table, and a chair. Once allotted, the rooms cannot be altered without permission.

Tripura University hostel food is served with utmost care under the guidance of the mess warden and mess supervisor. The mess offers three main meals every day. The mess prepares the weekly menu for the students. The students can check the menu on the notice board. The mess committee appoints four inhabitants as its members.

Tripura University hostel facilities include all the basic needs and amenities such as:

• Ambulance for emergency 

Tripura University hostel rules and regulations are as follows:

• Students suffering from communicable diseases aren't allowed on the premises.
• The audio speakers should not be a reason for the disturbance.
• Cooking food in the room is against hostel rules.
• The students concerned are fined for any damage to the hostel property.
• The entry of opposite-sex students to hostels is not allowed.
• The inhabitants should handle the electric fittings with care and should recheck before vacating.
• Occupying the room during vacation is not permitted.
• Any student found staying in the hostel during university hours is punishable.
• Ragging is a severe offense.
• Consumption of intoxicating drinks, smoking, and gambling is strictly prohibited.
• Indulging in political, social, or caste-based gatherings is not allowed.
• The students are responsible for their valuables and belongings.
• The boys aren't allowed to leave the hostel between 9.00 pm to 6.00 am. For girls, the time is 7.00 pm to 6.00 am. 
• Senior hostel students are not allowed to enter any newcomer's rooms.
• The hostel authority holds the right to allow admission to more than the allotted capacity in case of high demand for rooms.
• The students are permitted to use table lamps and chargers.
