SIMS or Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies in Pune is a very reputed management school, located in Pune. SIMS, an institute under the aegis of the celebrated Symbiosis International University, has earned goodwill as a well-known management school. There is only one management institution in India operating on a PPP or public-private partnership mode, and that distinction belongs to SIMS.
Symbiosis International University and Union Defence Ministry joined hands to supervise the administration of the former from and onwards 2002. Hence most of the seats allocated under different study programs have been kept aside for dependents, wards, and children of defense employees. This management school, like Indian Institute of Management, Management Development Institute, NMIMS, and XLRI, exclusively offers postgraduate management programs.
SIMS admits students for full-time and executive postgraduate programs including MBA, ‘advanced postgraduate diploma in management’ (PGDM), ‘executive MBA,’ and so on. All programs of this management institute have the affiliation of the University of Pune and recognized by UGC and AICTE.
