World University of Design

The World University of Design was established in the year 2018 under the flagship of RIMT Group of Institutions, Punjab, and is promoted by the OP Bansal Educational and Social Welfare Trust. It is approved by UGC and accredited by AIU. The institute aims at providing studies that are deeply connected to art, design, and architecture.

The university offers courses under the various schools/ departments present, namely:

• School of Architecture
• School of Design
• School of Fashion
• School of Communication
• School of Visual Arts
• School of Management

Along with these, the university also offers full-time and part-time Ph. D. programs in subjects like Architecture, Management, Art, and Design. The institute also offers Diploma programs with varied specialisations like Disaster Resilient Planning & Design, Professional Automotive Modeling, Fashion Designing, Graphic & Web Designing, Photography, and Painting.

The multiple Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered by the institution are as follows:

The institute focuses on the overall development of the students by giving them international exposure to boost their personalities and broaden their horizons. It is a member of the International Association of Universities & Colleges of Art, Design, and Media, namely Cumulus, which helps in providing students with international interactions and engagements for advanced learning.

The Application form can be accessed through the official website of the college. The candidates will have to fill up the form and pay the nominal application fee.

Once the candidate has submitted the application form, they have to appear for the Online Entrance Exam conducted by the university. The tests conducted are as follows:

• DAT (Design Aptitude Test): Conducted for admission to Design, Communication, and Fashion Programs.
• AAT (Art Aptitude Test): Conducted for admission to Visual Arts Programs.
• GAT (General Aptitude Test): Conducted for admission to Management and Performing Arts Programs.

After clearing the entrance tests, the students will have to then appear for the Personal Interview conducted on campus. The creative portfolio of the student has to be shown in the interview.

After clearing the above-mentioned rounds, the candidate will be offered an admission letter.

*Note: For the candidates seeking admission to the Architecture programs, the marks secured in the NATA / JEE Examinations will be considered. 

Some key points to remember for availing of the scholarships

• Only 10% of the overall enrolled students will be granted scholarships, on a first come and first served basis.
• A student can attain the scholarships only during admissions.
• The students, who have cleared the test and interview and are admitted, will only be eligible to attain the scholarships.
• For continuing to receive the benefits of the attained scholarship, a student needs to maintain a 7.0 CGPA along with the minimum attendance criteria in each academic semester.

Haryana Domicile Scholarships: To the candidates belonging to the Haryana Domicile, certain scholarships are awarded as per the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006.
