Most students feel Practical Exposure and Soft Skill Development are not provided enough. Students are very much involved in providing legal aid to the disadvantaged communities. There are many student committees that ensure that vibrant campus life is full of energy.

The course chosen by me is B.A.LL.B (Hons.) and it is a professional integrated course encapsulating both the Bachelor of Arts and Law degree. For admission into this course, the students are required to take a national-level exam known as the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which is held once every year and based on that the students are allocated NLUs based on their rank and on the same lines. It also takes students based on their specific score and rank in CLAT. Talking about the course of B.A.LL.B (Hons.), the same course is for 5 years, divided into 10 semesters and under one semester 2 exams of mid sem and end sem are conducted. The academics are good where the subjects taught are not just limited to law but also encapsulate other fields such as History, Political Science, Economics, etc. Other than that, there are extracurricular activities at our university such as moot court competitions, ADR competitions, and essay and judgment writing competitions, which help in gaining both theoretical and practical aspects of Law

The fee structure at our university is dynamic and changes every year but total fee including the mess charge and hostel charge for any year ranges between 2.5 Lakh to 3 Lakh. Moreover, there are scholarships at our university that are provided to various categories of the student such as the national scholarship for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes student. The merit cum scholarship is given to every meritorious student who is not economically well off from every batch. I choose the BALLB orders 5-year course. I prefer this course because it's the most professional and the most empowering one as well. It gave me exposure to the subjects of social science and law. The 4th year is our year of specialization Where we can choose from 4 streams business law, criminal law, constitutional law or public international law. The entry requirements of this college are via the exam of CLAT. You will have to check your updated list and rank on the consortium of NLU's website. Once your name appears in the 5th and final list of the college, you will be called for some document verification. And given admission thereafter. After this, you will be given your college and the admission process will be completed. Since the syllabus is revised every year the new changing laws are taught efficiently with new updated material which helps the student to keep up with the changing aspects of law. After the UG course, the college also provides LL.M for one year in which admission is taken based on the CLAT PG rank. The college provides Ph.D course as well.

There are total 10 semesters and in fees is paid in 10 segments. For the even semesters the fees is Rs.75,000/- plus Rs.20,000/- mess fee. For the odd and the bigger semesters the fees is Rs.1,21,000/- and Rs.20,000/- making it a total of approx Rs. 2.50 lakhs per year. On the website of the consortium of the NLU’s you have to pay an amount of Rs. 30,000/- as security fees to the college which would be refunded after the end of the course. These fees include the tuition fees the admission fee the library fee the academic fee and also the hostel and campus maintenance fees. As far as the discounts and special fees provided for special category of students there is 100% scholarship on the tuition fees. For the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students there is a fee discount of 100 percent. When you get admission in the Rajiv Gandhi College after being an student of the IDIA institute your entire fee is taken care of by the same. The 100% fees that is paid by the IDIA is also subject to certain conditions and special categories of students.
