Calcutta National Medical College Kolkata Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The college campus is quite big. The air conditioned classrooms, reading rooms, lecture halls are very much suitable to study better. 2 parks are also there inside campus where recreational activities are organized. College canteen is open for all. But the lack of good hygienic washrooms causes problems.

Campus life is very much cheerful in my collage. Besides study here various fests programs are held. Firstly I have tell you about AGON (the biggest med fest of eastern India) held around September-October. It really is a crazy experience for all os us. I’m really glad to be a part of this event. Other fest like UDDALOK, Holi, Saraswati puja and reunion ceremony are also held here. The campus in this college is charming and colorful. The infrastructure of the college is old fashioned and overall area of the college is little small. The library is functional from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. reading room is fully furnished and air-conditioned and the common room is well decorated & air-conditioned. You can have avail book or journal during the college time from library. Sports facilities are also available here.

The college is always crowded with lots of students and patients every day. Except some modern facilities, the college is very much welcoming to a undergraduate students. There are separate clubs for dance, debate, quiz, drama, fashion, and many more. You can flourish your extracurricular activities and hobbies with the hectic life of MBBS. College authority is also supportive for these kind of activities. This college organizes best medical fest called ‘Agon’ in Eastern India. There are also lots of events every 2 to 3 months such as freshers and reunions that keep the students stress free. The campus is very much lively with its charm but you cannot feel it until you are not able to indulge yourself into the campus. If you are too sigh or introvert or you love to be alone all the time then this is not for you but if you like a prominent social life this is the college you are looking for. The college and academic buildings and the hospital are on opposite sides of a street. Frankly speaking the hospital as well as academy buildings are a little small with respect to other medical colleges of West Bengal but academic building is well equipped and oriented to teach 250 students of four batches. There could have been some improvement in the college in terms of colors and gardening. This is always chaotic because lots of patient comes every day. This totally depends on the government of West Bengal as well as governing bodies of the college. The lecture theatres can accommodate more than 200 students and there are lots of small rooms to teach you in small groups for the practical purposes. The labs are well equipped with instruments and are used for the students to practice. Library is quite big and air conditioned. Common room is well decorated with air conditioner. There is a separate canteen in hospital and college but the food is average in the canteens. Lots of societies are there for drama, dance, cricket, debate and many more to enjoy the college life with your hobby.

The overall college experience is good except only the size and length of the college the infrastructure of the college. This college has the best senior-junior relationship. Best of college fests are organized here every year. There are various clubs and groups in the college where you can participate to make your life fun and follow your hobbies and extracurricular activities. It organizes the largest med fest of eastern India called the ‘Agon’. Everything is good about the college and the infrastructure of the college is mediocre.
