Forest College and Research Institute

The Forest College and Research Institute has an active placement cell that ensures the students get the best employment after completing their course. Students can take up assignments and prepare project proposals which will further help them prepare for the professional world. Career guidance workshops, courses for soft skill development are also organised by the placement cell so that the employability of the students are enhanced. After completing the course and attending the events and programs organised by the placement cell, students get employment in civil service, as scientists, in NGOs, various private farms, banks and more.

• Library: The college library is thoroughly stocked with the latest editions and even rare books relevant to the different courses offered by the institution. There are journals, reference books and various textbooks that are accessible to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate students as well as the faculties. There is a reading area and students can borrow the books as required as per the rules and regulations of the institution.
• Hostel: There are separate hostels for boys and girls at the college. The intake capacity of the boys hostel is two hundred and for the girls hostel, it is three hundred. The kitchen is common but the dining areas are also separate for the boys and girls. There is a solar water heater at both the hostels. The rooms are well furnished and there are all kinds of basic amenities available here.
• Computer center: The college has ICT infrastructure with video conferencing facilities and internet that gives the students the experience of smart learning. From researching to conducting virtual seminars or workshops, the computer center plays a pivotal role.
• Sports: The college has indoor and outdoor sports facilities for both girls and boys. There are playgrounds and amenities for cricket, football, hockey. Furthermore, there are courts for volleyball, kho kho, ball badminton, athletics, kabaddi, etc. There are also table tennis facilities and gymnasium.
• Health center: The health center has a dispensary with three rooms and is capable of providing first aid and handling emergency situations. The college also conducts routine health checkup at the health center once a month.
