After my JEE Mains result, I was sure about my college. It was not much surprising, as I was mentally prepared for it. Being aware of lots of rumours and hype about Srinagar, it was really difficult to convince my parents. But still, I managed it. My reason for choosing this college was just my love and passion for the Computer Science Branch and NIT tag. Soon, I entered Kashmir, and the vibe of this place was something out of this world. I had never felt something like that before. It felt like I entered a different dimension of the world, with the climate and environment making it different from other places. The counselling process was quite smooth, and the staff of the college was very cooperative and humble. Well, I would recommend that if any person is getting a decent circuital branch in a tier 2 NIT, they should prefer that over this NIT because even though this college is pretty good in its place, it's still 5-6 years behind the other NITs because of its isolation and everything else. There are various pros and cons, which I can explain. Pros are good climate, beautiful campus, teaching faculty is just awesome, and as campus is small everything is easily accessible within few steps from lecture halls to canteen everything is just within few steps. However, there are some cons as there is no summer vacation and most of the internship opportunities are in summer. I am second year student of National Institute of Technology Srinagar. My specialisation is Computer Science. My overall experience is very good. I am really happy to after getting into this college. Initially my plan was not sure for this particular college. Because during JEE preparation I was focusing only on exam. But after result. I went through various websites and YouTube videos for best college on the basis of my rank. I was getting NIT SRINAGAR. I got this college. This really beautiful college.
