The Agricultural College and Research Institute Madurai was established in 1965. The postgraduate departments at the college were started in 1969. Admission Process:
Both Tamil Nadu State Government and Tamil Nadu State University scholarships are accepted by the college. There are fee concessions for first year graduates in the family. This is specifically for BC, MBC, and OC students only from Tamil Nadu. There are provisions for SC/ST fees concessions. However, only Tamil Nadu-based students from reserved category are eligible for the same. There are several private scholarships which are recognised by the college like Amma Foundation Scholarship. Agricultural College and Research Institute Madurai Fee Structure
The Agricultural College and Research Institute have a placement cell that organises a Personality Development Workshop for the final year B.Sc. (Hons.) students every year. Furthermore, the placement cell organises various programs to enhance employability skills of the students. Certain programs include, Bulats Course for first year, career mapping for second year, Aptitude training for third year, etc. There are career counselling sessions for the students to help them determine the right professional or educational course for the future. Also, the college has classes conducted through the placement cell for TOEFL, IELTS, and GRE exams.
