There is a Placement Department established by the XLMI Amritsar. It works devotedly to provide maximum exposure to the students and get them placed. The Cell does so by involving the students in the ongoing industrial projects to improve their technical and analytical skills. The Institute has its own production house. Thus, the students get the freedom to get involved in projects involving short films, songs, VFX and 3D Animation Creation and so on.

The Placement Department organises recruitment drives in collaboration with reputed organisations. Various National and International actors, faculties, and directors from reputed companies like Cannon, Red Experts, etc. are invited to speak in the Guest Lectures. The students have been recruited in many films as Assistant Directors, DOP, Editors, Actors, and Visual Artists, etc.
XLMI Amritsar houses all the necessary amenities and conveniences essential for the holistic development of its students. The Campus is air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi facility. It has its own production and post-production house where the students can shoot ads, songs, and short videos for their curriculum purposes. The computer labs are technically advanced. The audio-video visual laboratories and green screens are professionally equipped. The classrooms are equipped with 1024x768 high-resolution projectors.
