Infrastructure is top notch with well equipped classroom and clean campus. All classrooms have air conditioning facilities. The college also has a library, canteen, gym, swimming pool, basket ball ground, and a common room. The common room and canteen is the best place to relax during the break between the classes.

The college is very strict. It is also known for upholding cultures, morals and principles. Every college has its pros and cons but Shikshayatan has many pros and less cons. 75% attendance is mandatory. Wi-Fi is also available in the college. There is a well equipped library with lots of books which help students to borrow book from there and not buy it resulting in saving money. The academic blocks are clean and clear. It also has lift and well equipped labs. Overall it’s an aristocratic building. Washrooms are mostly clean and have the requirements of women.

It has a mediocre environment. A basketball court is there and 50m tracks and also a swimming pool. It also has a common room filled with carrom board, table tennis board, and gym instruments. Game room is also there filled with every sports accessories. Although the swimming pool is not free for students you need to give certain amount for swimming differently. Every classroom also has AC making it comfortable for students. SRIJAN the fest of shikshayatan is well known but after covid years it did not happen. Different societies are there: Bengali creative society (chorcha), official dance society (nritya chandam), debate society (DEBSOC), and many more. The college has a great infrastructure with a fully air-conditioned building; the washrooms are very clean which is always a major requirement for all the girls. The canteen has a lot of food options to provide with and it is all fresh and tasty too at affordable rates. The classrooms are quite spacious, providing with a number of laptops for each student. The auditorium is quite big for all the programs to be held there.

The college being an all-girls' College is first of all a plus point for girls who have always wanted one. It is one of the top girls' Colleges in the city and the crowd is really amazing. The college has its own set of different seminars, fests, and different competitions for various activities. The college also takes part in fests happening in all other colleges of the city, which makes it easier to connect with people outside the college too.
