Seshadripuram Law College was established in the year 1984-85 in the heart of Bangalore city. Under the umbrella of Seshadripuram Educational Trust, the institute achieved new heights in the field of law education. The trust had started the institute with the aim to impart knowledge in the field of law and expanding legal awareness in the society for the welfare of helpless people.
The vision of the institute is to empower each individual with confidence and knowledge. The institute's mission is to develop responsible citizens with intellectual, moral and social values. The academia aims to develop a positive attitude in students so they can be ready for personal as well as professional development.
The institute is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubli and Bar Council of India recognizes the academia. The institute offers three years LL.B program and five years of integrated B.A.LL.B course. Seshadripuram Educational Trust constitutes a governing council. The chairperson of the governing council is Sri K. Krishnaswamy, an advocate. Other members of the governing Council include legal luminaries, academicians, and experts in the field of Management and eminent persons in public service. The governing council organizes meetings four times a year on a regular basis for reviewing administrative and academic work.
The institute treasures a fully furnished and well-equipped library present on the third floor of the building. There are facilities namely computerized sources, Wi-Fi technology, Internet, CCTV surveillance and much more that make an adequate environment for reading and learning. There are rich collections of books including Karl Marx Capital, History of Dharmashastra and Constituent Assembly debates that are published by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Candidates willing to take admission must apply offline in the month of June. The admission is made based on merit made by marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
