North East Christian University

North East Christian University - NECU Dimapur exists since 2013 following the act passed in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The university is approved by UGC with a private university status. The land area to build the NECU campus was made available by the Government of Nagaland.

Vision: The University is working with a vision to impart high quality education through its several courses. It aspires to produce leaders in science and other fields who can contribute to society to achieve global sustainability.

Mission: Its mission is to provide education to the unprivileged youth through world-class teaching methodologies. It aims to promote research through flexible programs and research projects.

The institute is providing degrees at UG, PG, and Doctorate level covering interdisciplinary fields. B.A, M.A, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, DMIT, DMLT, BMLT, BMIT, BPT, Ph.D, etc. are some of the several courses run by the university. These courses are offered under various centres operating under the university.

Admissions for both UG and PG courses will be on merit basis. Students interested in taking admission to the university must fill up the application form following the guidelines and upload the requisite documents prescribed in the form. 5% seats are reserved for differently-abled candidates and 25% seat allocation will be for Merit cum means students. Additionally, 10% extra weightage would be given to students who have represented their states in music, sports, and other activities.

Note: The minimum required percentage for admission to nursing is 45% and the minimum age shall be 17 years while the upper age limit is 25 years.

To support and encourage talented students, NECU awards a number of scholarships like International Educational Scholarship Programme (IEPS), Merit Based Scholarship, CBCNEI Scholarship, NECU General Scholarship (NGS), OCRPL Scholarship for MA Students under CARS, and Church Association Nominee. Those who want to become beneficiaries of the different scholarships must meet the prerequisites and conditions for those scholarships.
