The students of National Institute of Mass Communication undergo a thorough training with their academic curriculum. They are encouraged to take part in practical workshops on different types of communication tools. They are also motivated to attend production workshops, theatre and news anchoring workshops, radio programs, and live programs of News Channels to flourish in their interested fields.
Experienced media professionals and instructors are invited from NDTV, BBC, DD, and Aaj Tak to provide in-depth industry knowledge to the students. Moreover, trips and visits are organised to theatre and film festivals, art and photo exhibitions, etc. to provide exposure to the mass media world.
The Institute focuses on creating internship and placement opportunities for the students. It has close tie-ups with several companies in the media industry.
