The Anna University courses are conducted by the Center’s various faculties that specialize in a range of fields such as engineering, management sciences, humanities, and architecture.
The University’s full-time, 5-year Bachelor of Architecture course is uniquely designed. As part of the programs, the students have to undergo practical training for 2 years, under the supervision of architecture professionals. Also, one semester is reserved for working on a thesis, so the pupils can pursue their areas of interest. Student-exchange programs, seminars, interactive learning session via design projects, and guest lectures – all constitute the University’s B. Arch course curriculum.
Conducted on a full-time basis and over 4 years and spanning 8 semesters, the University’s Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering program promotes education and research in the aerospace field. This course’s curriculum entails practical experience for which the pupils are offered world-class laboratories for conducting experiments. In turn, the pupils understanding of the various classroom-based concepts widens, too.
The Anna University started conducting the MBA program from the 1980s onwards. During the program, the center nurtures the students’ leadership skills for producing competent managers who can propel the country’s development to newer heights. For offering practical education under this course, the pupils have to work on summer projects via internships at corporate houses. Further, all the required counseling for the students to develop managerial expertise is provided by the University.
The University’s admissions are based on merit and conducted as per the candidate’s evaluation in the TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test).
At AU, the full-time Masters in Bio-Technology program has an interdisciplinary approach and is conducted over 2-years, entailing 3 semesters of coursework and 1 semester of Projects.
The selection of candidates for this course is on the basis of their performance in the JNU entrance test that is held in the month of February every year. During the course, the students are offered a stipend of Rs 8000 on a monthly basis from the Government of India’s Department of Biotechnology.
The Anna University’s full-time Masters in Information Technology course runs for 2 years and over 4 semesters. Through this course, the students can learn about the basics of engineering, develop technical skills, imbibe ethical values and gain knowledge on how to apply the acquired skills towards the up liftment of society members. The course, also, offers knowledge in leading-edge technologies in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Sciences.
