VIT Pune has a Placement Cell which emphasises on a stable and successful career of students. It conducts placement activities and training programs for overall grooming of students. It conducts skill improvement programs in areas like presentation, communication, technical, computing etc., interaction with industrial experts, career counselling sessions, aptitude test, workshops, group discussion, industrial visits, mock interview sessions, guest lectures, on and off campus interviews, etc.

To meet the excellence, The Bajrangdas Lohiya Central Library was established in 1984. The library supports the educational and research program by providing access to information. VIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. A candidate seeking admission in B.Tech must have a valid score in JEE Mains or MHT-CET. For admission in M.Tech, MHT-CET is mandatory. Admission in MCA is based on the score obtained in MAH-MCA-CET. Based on the merit shortlisted candidates are intimated for counseling.
