Assam Engineering College Fees Structure & Courses 2025, Guwahati

The academics of Assam Engineering College are also nice. Electrical Engineering is the core branch so the placement of this particular branch is also nice so if someone is interested in Electrical branch then this course is nice. For taking admission in college in the electrical branch, he/ she has to give CEE exam. For Electrical Engineering, he/she must secure under 500 rank in the exam for general category. After securing good rank in the exam, there is a counseling process in which you have to give your preference. The examination is same for other courses that is semester wise examination besides that there is two test exam, which is taken by the particular branch. Academics much not prepare for the real life challenge.

The fee is same for all the course that is approximately Rs. 30,000 at the time of addmission in which includes tuition fee, registration fee, government fee and the hostel registration fee also included. It is per year and besides that, you have to pay semester registration fee after the semester starts that is Rs. 1,300 and examination fee that is Rs. 3,900 in which fest fee is also included and if anyone is BPL candidate then there is a deduction in the fee. There is many scholarship provided by the government that is Isan Uday in which Rs. 80,000 is given per year for Isan Uday candidate must a fresher (not a dropper) and annual family income must be not more than Rs. 4,50,000 and there are also ONGC scholarships and many private scholarships are also there.Read Full Review

I have chosen the Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering. I have chosen this branch because in the entire Assam this course is provided by only two institutions one is Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and another is Assam Engineering College so there's is less competition in Assam for this specific branch. For getting into Assam Engineering College you have either get a good percentile in Joint Entrance Exam Mains or there's an another exam for the State Engineering colleges of Assam which is Combined Entrance Exam that is conducted once every year.

The fee for each department is same for the 1st year student which is Rs. 30,000 but from the second year fees varies. For my department which is Chemical Engineering the fee is Rs. 25,000 and there are no fees for the registration for the even semesters. There are many scholarships in which one can apply such as NSP (National Scholarship Portal), Ishan Uday (only applicable for fresher students. students who have taken a gap year cannot apply for the particular scholarship).Read Full Review

B.Tech Civil Engineering always focuses on our surrounding world. They make world the better place through their infrastructure. The placements of the course are very high. Curriculum includes some more Practical subjects, which will develop more skills. I gave CEE exam to get admission into this college. My first choice was Civil branch & this college and I am very happy that I got both of these in first preference. Student need to be above 21 and have at least 60% marks in 10+2. The examinations are moderate and paper is coming as per ASTU norms. Many students cannot pass the exam and many score very good.

The fee is Rs. 15,000 if candidate belongs to EWS category. For other categories, around Rs. 1,500 needs to be paid. The registration fee in 1st semester end exam is Rs. 4,000. There are various scholarship present there such as Ishan Uday Scholarship, Pragati Girls Scholarship, NEC Merit Cum Scholarship, SC ST Scholarship, etc.Read Full Review
