Assam Engineering College Guwahati Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

AEC is spread through an area of 1500 square ft., consisting of various buildings for different departments. It has a quite large campus area with greenery all over the campus. Our college is located deep inside the Jalukbari forest which provides a peaceful ambience and is very essential for students and there studies. The college has 3 large ponds which increase the beauty of the whole campus. Now coming to the academic block of the college, the Civil and Electrical departments are situated in the main building opposite to which is the SWD building where the Chemical department is located. Our college also has a very large canteen which is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day. Overall there is every facility one can ask for in the college.

The crowd in AEC is quite good if you engage in various clubs and activities. In the first year of the college, you get choose to be in various clubs according to your liking such as Dancing, Drama, Debate, Sports and also Gaming. If one joins any of these clubs, they can make friends very easily and enjoy the campus life to the fullest. Our college conducts various fests every year which anyone can participate and can win prizes. All departments have its own building and labs. It has a great campus surrounded by hills making it more beautiful. Library has all the books required for academics. Talukdar shop, morom store, AEC market, AEC view point, and Gosor tol are the sentiments for an Aecian. 1ST year classes are held in NAT building. After that all the classes are going to be held in their respective departments.

Pyrokinesis is the annual fest held for 4 days in Assam Engineering College organized by the 3rd year students. There are also many more fest like Tech Utsav, Cultural Week, College Week, Spondon (a inter hostel dance competition), and more. The campus is spread across 400 acre of land. It somewhat has individual buildings for each branch. The girl’s hostel is very near the every building in the college. Each hostel has its own field and the college has a canteen with various food items. There is a market inside the college with all the necessary requirements.

The Campus life in AEC is really good. There are roughly 22 clubs in AEC and each club has its own objectives. The Pyrokinesis is the annual fest of the college and it is continued for 4 days. Different programs are organised during this fest.Read Full Review
