Vanita Vishram Women's University was established in 2021 and is Gujarat's first women’s University which was established through private-public partnership with the government of Gujarat. The University was established with the objective of addressing the national call ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and to graduate women entrepreneurs and women leaders. It is a Private University approved by UGC and listed under the section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
It emphasises on prioritising experiential learning and practical knowledge and provide employment opportunities and quality education to the girl students. The University aims to empower women through skill development and quality education to transform them into strong individuals. It is committed to provide professional training for the holistic development of the students to make them socially empowered and economically independent.

VVWU has a Training and Placement Cell which acts as a mediator between the students and the industries. The Cell provides a platform for the students to gain valuable experiences by using their potential, skills, and knowledge. It is equipped with a video conferencing facility, consultancy hall, test halls, conference room for presentations and pre-placement talks, computer labs for conducting online tests, etc. The students are provided with training which helps them enhance their knowledge and skills. It organises seminars, technical talks, guest lectures, workshops, and encourages industrial visits.
