SNDT Women's University (also known as Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University) [SNDTWU], Mumbai established in 1916 is a State University. SNDTWU Mumbai is approved by UGC, and is accredited by NAAC. Admission in SNDT Women's University Mumbai is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level.
Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University was established in 1916 and is the first Women’s University in the nation. It was established with the objective of empowering women by providing them quality education and inculcating awareness about the rights and issues of women. SNDT is a State University approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC with “A” grade.

SNDT has a Placement Cell which serves as an intermediary between the students and the industries. It is responsible for guiding and assisting the students during placements. The Cell provides training to the students which help them to enhance their knowledge and skills and organises guest lectures, conferences, workshops, and seminars for the students. It is also responsible for inviting the companies for campus placements and ensures that the students of the University are provided with adequate opportunities.
