MANIT Bhopal Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

The hostel for first years is newest but facilities are worst. The Wi-Fi will make you cry but for girls and other hostels it is not like that. The big problem for boys is that you are not allowed to go out of hostel due to fear of ragging. But after first year, it's not like that. MANIT Bhopal has a total of 12 hostels: 10 for boys (including 1 for NRIs) and 2 for girls. Each hostel is spacious and well equipped with Wi-Fi services. Each has its own mess; common rooms like TV room, tennis room; and sports courts like volleyball court, badminton court etc. All hostels have various committees of chosen students for mess, internet, sports, sanitation, cultural activities etc. These are responsible for any changes or improvements in their respective domains. 1st year boys get triple occupancy rooms but can get double occupancy rooms from next year with good CGPA. There are opportunities to make new friends; you may develop leadership qualities via committees. The con is sharing rooms with 2 or 3 students may be challenging; sometimes mess or toilets may be found crowded.Read Full Review

When it comes to hostel life MANIT's glory is getting faded. Infrastructure is not that good but survivable. Water supply is not available in some washrooms, or it has been cut sometimes. You can access internet only if you are working in 1-2 meters range of the router. Mess food is unhygienic, and you can't expect taste from them. Also, games room lack equipment.Read Full Review
