NIT Kurukshetra has a Training and Placement Cell which is helpful in establishing relationships with the companies and the institute. The placement team works dedicatedly towards personality development and growth of students. It conducts sessions to provide assistance to the students for getting placed in top companies. The placement cell ensures that best support is provided to the students in terms of their recruitment from the campus. The team focuses on conducting several workshops and seminars to train students efficiently. The main function of the cell is to:

• Facilitate placement drives and conduct group discussions and personal interviews
• Organise Pre-Placement Talks, workshops, etc. to enhance different skills of students.
• Provide complete assistance to the students about the placement process.
• Conduct tests and training sessions wherein students can refine their skills and enhance their knowledge.

The placement team at the campus works tirelessly to provide top notch opportunities to the students. The team ensures that placement facilities and support is given to the students by managing the interaction between the institute and the companies visiting the campus.

The campus of NIT Kurukshetra is spread over approximately 300 acres. The campus is around 160 Kms from Delhi and at a distance of 5 Kms from Kurukshetra railway station. Banks are located at convenient points for students. The facilities provided by the institute are given below:

• Central Library: The library of NITK is spacious with a rich collection of learning resources including text books, reference books, online journals and e-books. The library provides a seating capacity of approximately 500 readers as it occupies an area of around 36711 sq.ft.
• Computer Centre: The computer center at the campus provides proper internet facilities which help students to carry out research activities. This center aims to integrate networking as well as computing facilities.
• Girls Hostel: The hostel for girls is named as Bhagirathi Bhawan which has accommodation capacity of approximately 198 students. There is a big dining hall, kitchen, guest rooms and greenery all round. Recreational facilities are also available in the hostel for students.
• Boys Hostel: The boys’ hostel is named as Abhimanyu Bhawan which has a capacity of 220+ students. Security cameras are placed all over the campus to ensure safety of students. It has sports facilities also where students can play table tennis, carom, badminton, volleyball, etc. There are more than 5 hostels in the campus to provide a comfortable stay for the students.
• Health Centre: A health center is there in the campus of NITK which helps to provide medical support to the students. Ambulance services are provided free of cost and are available for emergency cases.
• Sports: The institute puts a great emphasis on participation of students in sports activities. Students can play badminton, kabaddi, cricket, tennis, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, etc. and develop their interest in many sports activities. A gymnasium center is also there to keep the students healthy and help them to be physically active. Latest equipment is available for students to focus on physical exercise.
