The criteria for getting in BMM is to give the CUET exam (Common University Entrance Test). Both your 12th marks and CUET score are taken under consideration for admission. The admission happens on the basis of the merit list. There are reservations for the Gujarati minority; this gives them a special advantage. I joined the college in the year 2017, for my second year of Bachelors of Mass Media (BMM). The reason why I joined in between and changed my previous college because as I already described, being a premium institute the cut-offs are high and I got 75% Marks in my 12th, the last cut-off was 80% when I was applying in for the first year. Luckily I got the admissions in the second year. I always aspired to do something in the field of media. I wanted to be a writer, journalist and that was the reason behind joining this course, with Mithibai's name on my CV, it is easy to crack interviews. The course of BMM has a vast scope, a person who has done BMM can pull of anything minus all the things that include science formulas but they will know how to market the same. BMM helps you to widen your perspective and accept, analyze things with an open mind. The course has 36 subjects, 6 subjects per semester. Each subject is dedicated to a particular field in media for e.g. Journalism, PR, Media Research, Social Media, Marketing, Cinema studies, etc. The course demands a practical approach towards learning, each subject has practical projects/assignments wherein the students will learn the true essence of the subject.
