Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, shortly named as ABVMU was established with the passing of Uttar Pradesh Act no.42 of 2018. The State collegiate university aims at providing quality education in the field of Medical, Dental, Paramedical, and Nursing with the approval of UGC.
Vision: The University was set up with a vision to impart world class teaching, training and research to all the health care workers and to be recognised as one amongst the prominent medical educational centers.
Mission: Its mission is to train individuals who shall provide services to the society by catering to the health needs starting from prevention to primary care and then to tertiary care.
Students are offered degrees at UG and PG level in Medical, Dental, Paramedical, and Nursing courses in the multiple colleges and institutions affiliated with the university. B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, MBBS, BMLT, BPT, BOTT, BRIT, MOTT, MPT, MOT, MMRIT, BDS, and MDS are some of the courses offered by ABVMU Lucknow.
Admission to the University for Most of the courses are based on the merit list following the entrance test conducted by the university. Although students must confirm the academic and other qualifications necessary for the admission to a particular course they are opting for before proceeding to fill the application form for the entrance test. Academic qualifications for the admission are according to the regulations of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professionals.
