The college has established a Training and Placement Cell that is dedicated towards providing proper knowledge and training to the students. It provides insight on the working environment in the corporate world which helps the student in acquiring the required skill sets. Throughout the year, various training sessions, seminars, industrial visits, workshops, and industry-institute interactions are organised by the training cell for making the students placement ready.

Various well known organisations are invited by the college for conducting interviews and recruiting students. Some of these organisations are Piramal group, Relex Healthcare Services, Apollo Pharmacy, Bharat Serums and Vaccines, Cipla, Sanofi, Tata Consultancy Services, L’Oréal India, Marksans Pharma, Aristo Pharmaceuticals, and many more.

The campus of Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Pharmacy Akurdi is spread over 32 acres. The college is approx 0.5 km away from Akurdi railway station. It has various modern amenities that play a vital role in providing an intellectual learning environment to the students. Wi-Fi facilities are also available in the campus to facilitate a smooth learning process. Different amenities that are available at the college for the students are mentioned below:

• Hostel: Separate hostels are available in the college for boys and girls. These hostels have well furnished rooms, television, and several recreational facilities. In addition to these, 24x7 internet facilities and security are also available in the hostels.
• Laboratories: The College has several well organised laboratories that are equipped with the latest machines and equipment essential for providing practical knowledge to the students. These laboratories are also used for research purposes. Some of these laboratories are Pharmaceutics Lab, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab, Pharmacology Lab, and Pharmacognosy Lab.
• Computer Center: There are fully air conditioned computer centers in the college that are equipped with high speed internet facilities. Students use these computer centers for studying, developing projects and also for research purposes.
• Library: The library at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Pharmacy Akurdi has a huge collection of learning resources related to different areas of study. It includes books, magazines, newspapers, journals and other learning resources for fulfilling different academic requirements of the students. Along with this, e-learning resources are also available in the library.
• Amphitheater: There is a well designed amphitheater with remarkable ambience in the centre of the college. It is used for organising fares, cultural activities, industry-institute interaction, and other events.
• Seminar Hall: The College has a state-of-art seminar hall that is equipped with various facilities and has a capacity of accommodating approx 200 people at a time.
• Conference Room: There is a conference room in the campus that is known as Dnyanaprasad Sabhagruha. It is equipped with internet facilities, VHS, television set, projectors, VCD units that are used for presentations, lectures, conferences, and other events.
• Sports: Several sports facilities are provided to the students for maintaining an enthusiastic environment in the college. It also has well maintained grounds for cricket and football.

• First Aid Room: The College has a first aid room where medical facilities are provided to the students under specialised doctor’s supervision. In addition to this, regular health checkups are also done by qualified doctors in the college.
