School of Broadcasting and Communication Placements: Average & Highest Package 2023, Mumbai

Placements in journalism or advertising business are subjective. The college didn’t had any rounds of placements but since they had the tie-ups off-campus interviews and our CVs were sent because we did more ground work than attending the classes. Our work was there to be seen for all and on the basis of that, we were hired as most of us started our work even before the course was completed. The college had enough labs for us to prepare the news or the stories that we made. The college was ok with it even if used the college facilities for our personal use. So, placements were not direct through campus but all the students managed to find themselves good jobs on the basis of our degrees and skills that we were taught at SBC.Read Full Review

The placements didn’t happen at campus but the college name was so prestige that getting placements before the completion of course was the simplest of task at SBC. There’s a lot of competition so the saying that one has to be present at the right place at the right time. I tried my best to take my back off campus and be among the reputed people of the industry so that all my work is noticed. I myself took up some difficult projects and worked with crew members as I knew this is how I will be starting. So, at the end getting job was in our hand as maintain a good relationship with faculty was enough to become a part of any newspaper or magazine because getting into Television media was a bit tough.Read Full Review

Well, internships are placements here because in the name of placements there were nothing like the rounds of interviews and all. While studying we all have made connections with local and national level media houses and we could approach them directly. In media business relations matter a lot and if one shares good camaraderie with the people they work under during internships, jobs are guaranteed but if they don’t then struggle for jobs as many of my batchmates are doing freelancing or covering stories and selling it some agencies.Read Full Review
