Christ University Kengeri

Christ University Kengeri Campus is a well-known pioneer in multidisciplinary fields of education and has four schools under it. The college was given the status of ‘Deemed to be University’ in 2008 and the Kengeri campus came into force in 2009. Located in Bangalore, the university was envisioned by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara who was an educationist as well as a social reformer.

The institute plans to offer excellence through the holistic development of the student so they can make a difference in society. The university has some core values that help them grow and educate its students in the best possible way. It combines Business and Technology to develop unique ideas for the betterment of society. The United Grants Commission (UGC) of India granted the title of ‘Potential for Excellence’ to the university and NAAC accredited it with an A⁺ Grade. It has also been declared an autonomous university by UGC.

The Kengeri campus has 4 schools offering different programs under them including:

• School of Engineering & Technology- Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, and Sciences and Humanities.
• School of Business Management- Business management
• School of Social Sciences- Psychology
• School of Architecture- Architecture

Here are the steps that the applicants can follow to apply for their desired course:

• Go to the Home page of the website and click on Admissions > Application Status > Login Page.
• On the Login page, the candidate needs to register themselves by entering the basic information and creating a password.
• The candidates then need to get their Email verified and fill out the admission form.
• The application fee needs to be paid after the documents along with the photographs are uploaded.

The applicants willing to apply for the above-mentioned courses should appear for the Micro Presentation and Personal Interview. For the courses like B.Sc, B.Tech, and BBA, the candidate also needs to clear the Christ University Entrance Test.

The Scholarship Support cell at the university guides and helps students through the application process and explains the criteria for applying for the scholarships. Several scholarships are awarded to the students by the college to help them pursue the course of their choice. The Scholarships offered by the college are

• Merit Scholarships: Meritorious students are awarded Merit Scholarships based on their academic performance. A certain amount of fee is waived for the students who get this scholarship. 

• Scholarships for Financial Assistance: Students from weak economical backgrounds and rural areas are eligible to apply for the scholarship by submitting supporting documents to the college. The amount of fee concession will be decided by the scholarship committee after verifying the documents and conducting a personal interview with the parents and student.

• Alumni Association Scholarships: The College also provides help through the Alumni fund to economically weak students seeking support.

Some other scholarships awarded by the college are Bishop Emmanuel Mani Giles Pothanamuzhy Memorial Merit Scholarship, Christ Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship, Bishop Jonas Thaliath Memorial Fee Concession Scholarship, Christ Foreign Students Scholarships, etc.

These scholarships are awarded to students who perform well in academics and other activities. It is also provided to students with various socio-economic backgrounds to encourage them to study without any barriers. Students with physical disabilities are also offered financial assistance.
