Guru Nanak University

The Guru Nanak University has a Placement Cell; the expert panel have trained professionals who are dedicated to groom the students for the upcoming job opportunities. It prioritises training the students and facilitating them with placement offers. The Guru Nanak University Placement Cell assists the students in developing their overall personality and acts as an interactive link that helps the students with potential to attain jobs in the desired companies.

Students are provided with individual career counseling wherein the mentors guide the students in choosing the suitable career path. Additionally, the University offers industrial exposure to the students by facilitating them with Internship and training opportunities in collaboration with numerous companies. Students are provided with an exposure to the real time work environments with the purpose of enhancing their technical and employability skills.

At the University, students from various disciplines have been hired by leading companies such as Virtusa, EPAM, CTS, Infosys, L&T, Capgemini, HPE, TCS, Wipro, Mphasis, Vistex, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Hyundai Mobis, Sintex, Polmon, Magnaquest, NTT Data, IBM, Zensar, Cyient, OpenText, Berkadia, CtrlS, Amazon, Genpact, Synopsys, Posidex Technologies, MAQ, Kony Labs, Mindtree IT Solutions, ValueMomentum, etc.

The Guru Nanak University Hyderabad Campus is spread across approximately 100 acres of land. It is segregated into Academic Blocks and separate buildings for each department which have a modern architecture. The University has LAN and Wi-Fi connection so the students can easily utilise the internet for their academic requirements. The classrooms are equipped with the ICT enabled teaching-learning aids, LCD projector, etc.

Other infrastructural facilities of the University are discussed in detail below:

• Library: There is a Central Library in the University that is fully air-conditioned. It houses a comprehensive collection of study resources such as general and competitive examination books, Indian journals in print format, etc. Other infrastructural amenities of the library include a separate Reading Hall and reprography services like printing & photocopy, etc. 
  There is a Computer Centre with Internet connection in the library; it can be used to access the digital library facilities provided by the University. Moreover, there are many departmental libraries and e-libraries available in the University.
• Laboratories: There is a Computer Lab in the University that has modern software and hardware to provide practical learning experience to the students and enhance their digital skills. The laboratories and the advanced research centres are equipped with modern machineries, tools, foundries, and other equipment to provide experiential learning to the students. • Auditorium: The auditorium in the University is air-conditioned and has an accommodation capacity of around 600 people. Moreover, there is an Open Air Auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 2000 people.
• Seminar Hall: Well-equipped seminar halls are available in each department of the GNU Hyderabad.
• Cafeteria: There is a capacious Central Canteen in the University and other cafeterias where dishes are available, catering to the varied taste preferences of the students & staff. A variety of healthy meals and beverages prepared under hygienic conditions are served at nominal price in these cafeterias.
• Hostel: Separate hostels for boys, girls, and NRI students are available in the University campus. The Guru Nanak University Hostels are well maintained and fully functional. The residents are served with various types of healthy and balanced vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals in the dining hall. The other facilities for hostellers include Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor games, TV room, surveillance cameras, round the clock security, medical facilities including an ambulance availability, etc.
• Sports: The University has well-maintained sports infrastructure to ensure the physical growth and active participation of the students in various sports. Separate grounds and courts are available for outdoor sports such as Cricket, Basketball, Football, and Volleyball. Indoor sports facilities for Carom, Table Tennis, etc. are available in an Indoor stadium at the University. Also, various sports activities and tournaments including inter-departmental and inter-university competitions are organised.
• Transportation: The University campus is well connected to the nearby areas. It has 70+ buses which operate at various stops in and around the city, covering roughly a radius of 60 Kms.
