To shape the future of the students and to provide them with a platform where the students can grow professionally, the university has established a Placement and Career Counselling Cell. This cell keeps the students informed and active so that they can choose a career based on their aptitude, personality, and interests. Various career guidance programs and activities are also organised by the cell to introduce several job profiles and positions to the students in their respective fields.

This cell monitors the growth and development of the students on a regular basis and provides excellent career counseling so that the students can establish a professional and successful career. This cell works as a bridge between the companies and the students and maintains positive relations with the major recruiting companies. It guides and helps the students in getting placed at government organisations, multinational companies, NGOs, and other private companies. It also introduces various internship programs to the students to provide on-the-job training and experience.

To make the students employable, the cell organises pre-placement talks in which the students are being prepared for the HR round through mock interviews, aptitude tests, and group discussions. The Placement and Career Counselling Cell also takes the responsibility to encourage and motivate students towards business and entrepreneurship. The cell focuses on developing the entrepreneurial skills of the students and inspires them to share their business ideas and start-up projects. In addition to this, the cell advances the communicational skills, technical skills, professional skills, and soft skills of the students.

Located at Civil Lines, Gorakhpur, DDUGU is the first university that was established after independence in Uttar Pradesh. The campus of this university is spread over an area of 190 acres of land with modern infrastructure. The university has a green campus as it has excellent arrangements for energy conservation, waste management, water management, etc. DDUGU provides a safe and healthy campus environment to the students with the help of various committees and cells like the Anti-Ragging Committee, Committee for SC & ST category students, Internal Complaint Committee, Minority Cell, Grievance Redressal Committee, etc. At DDUGU, the students are facilitated with world-class & ICT-enabled classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements, seminar halls, guest house, media center, and sports, along with other services and amenities like:

• Library: The University has a well-stocked and modern Central Library that is built in an area of about 4000 sq. mt. The library is divided into various sections like a Central Test Book Section (CTBS) that holds all the books and reading materials related to UG and PG level courses, a reference room which is known as the Gandhi Hall, a well-equipped Cyber Library, a well-lit reading area, etc. The library has a collection of more than 380000 books, 5600+ theses, 100+ national & international print journals, Hindi & English language newspapers, magazines, periodicals, e-books, e-journals, and other online resources. In addition to this, the library also has photocopying and reprographic services.
• Computer Centre: The University has a well-furnished and stocked IT Cell that provides the latest computer systems, internet connection, and updated software to the students. This centre was established to advance the knowledge and skills of the students in the IT sectors
• Hostel: The University has hostel facilities for both national and international students. There are three boys’ hostels, two girls’ hostels, and one international hostel. Each hostel facilitates its students with spacious, modern, furnished, and clean rooms. For the safety of the hostellers and to maintain the discipline of the hostel, wardens are present in the hostel campus 24x7 along with CCTV cameras and security. For the entertainment of the students, the hostel campus has Wi-Fi services, common rooms, a reading area, and indoor games. The international hostel of DDUGU is constructed in a two-floor building and provides all the modern facilities and services. Mess services are also provided to the students that serve delicious, healthy, and hygienically cooked food to the hostellers.
• Moot Court: To facilitate Law students, the university has established a spacious and furnished Moot Court. This moot court allows future advocates to practice and exercise court hearings and helps the students learn a lot of new things.
• Auditorium: The University has a spacious and well-furnished auditorium, named Pt. Surati Narayan Mani Tripathi and it is located in the Deeksha Bhawan. This Bhawan consists of 25+ rooms, three big seminar & conference halls, and an auditorium. University celebrates all its annual shows, award ceremonies, national & international conferences in this auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 700 people.
• Theatre: DDUGU has established a well-furnished theatre on the campus of the university to celebrate various events and functions. The theatre is known as Samvad Bhawan and it is fully air-conditioned, modern, and spacious with a seating capacity of 200+ students.
• Health Center: The University has a well-established Health Center that provides medical facilities to students in need. The health center is equipped with facilities like patient beds, higher measuring machines, BP apparatus, thermometers, medicines, stretchers, etc. Expert doctors and nurses are present in the center to look after the students and ambulance services are also available for emergencies.
