Symbiosis Law School [SLS Pune Pune] was established in the year 1977 as a Private Educational Institution, currently having 5th position in NIRF Ranking 2024. In 1977, Symbiosis Law School was founded in Pune with the aim to deliver global law education to a group of young people. The School got its statutory approval from UGC and AICTE. It is accredited with BCI, INC, and NMC.
The key vision of the School is to foster value-based and ethical learning among students. It also aims to promote international understanding among young aspirants by providing them with quality education.
SLS offers some integrated law courses such as B.A. LL.B. (Hons), BBA LL.B. (Hons), LL.B., and LL.M.
Candidates taking admission to law courses offered by SLS Pune have to appear for Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). Registration for this test can be done online from the website. They also need to register for SLS to become eligible for the next phase of the admission process. Candidates will be selected based on their scores in SLAT, Writing ability test, and Personal Interviews.

SLA’s library or learning resource center is a hub of traditional materials and electronic resources. The center is designed carefully to allow physical and digital spaces to cater research and learning. There are collections of print materials such as magazines, journals, and books as well as electronic data and other web resources that can be accessed via a tablet or computer.
To maintain discipline, students need to follow certain rules prescribed by the administration. SLS has a strict attendance policy, and students are encouraged to have maximum attendance. A student whose attendance is below 75% will not be allowed to appear in end semester examination as it will result in Term Not Granted (TNG). The student will also be debarred to all privileges, such as participating in events like Seminars, Moots, Debates, and Screening for placement.
The institute offers different courses in the field of Law such as B.A/BBA LL.B (Hons), LL.B, LL.M and certification course in European Union Legal Studies. A candidate seeking admission in B.A/BBA LL.B (Hons.) must have appeared for SLAT. For admission in LL.B and LL.M, the eligible candidate must have appeared for All India Admission Test (AIAT). Admission in certification course is on first come, first serve basis.
