The placements that happen in my time were good most of the companies are BPOs and technical there are hardly any 3 or 4 multinational companies that came in college. Maximum students were selected by BPOs and some of them who are successful in clearing the technical exam were placed in technical and if I discuss about package then it’s almost 1.5 and 2.6 LPA. The BPO sectors were offering between 18-20k and technical were offering 22-25k per month so there is no much difference whether you are placed in BPO or in technical is just a difference of work.Read Full Review

The college has preparatory guidance classes for campus placements. However, it is hard to find a mentor who can give a real-time guidance about the job market needs to get prepared if you end up searching for a job on your own. I received guidance from senior students only and of course internet. Students in my batch joined personality and technical knowledge development classes which are offered by some private coaching institutes in the city because, to grab any job offer overall development is also important. The average package received was Rs. 3-6 lakhs per annum for my batch mates. I would like to suggest that one should not have all their hopes on college placements only. The student will have to make themselves aware and build network. Reason being, firstly, the selection process is not always transparent and secondly, the management team sometimes comes up with unreasonable rules to prevent any student to appear for multiple companies' placement drives, irrespective of preferences that the student might have. And keep in mind that majority of the placements are from CS/IT/EC into software companies, and since not everyone does coding or testing, make your own path as I had to. The company I was placed in is a reputed company and it was the first placement drive for our batch students. Students who were selected by this company were not allowed to appear for another placement drive. This was a rule not set by the employer but by the college management. My company employer ended up not honoring the placement selected students. So, when my fellow students and I, who were placed in that particular company, completed our engineering, we had no job offer at hand.Read Full Review
