Vidyashilp University

Co-founded by Dr. P. Dayananda Pai and Dr. Kiran Pai, Vidyashilp University was established in the year 2021 under the flagship of the Vidyashilp Education Group. It is approved by the UGC, and accredited by the AIU.

VU aims at providing the students with a conducive atmosphere that promotes collective learning, encourages broad-mindedness, and emphasises service. The values imparted to the students are academic freedom; integrity; empathy, empowerment, & social change; diversity, equity, & inclusion; excellence; and intellectual discovery.

Various courses are offered by the institute under the 4 schools/departments at the institute, namely:

• School of Business Studies: BMS (Hons.)/ with Research, and PG Diploma in Start-up Management.
• School of Computational and Data Sciences: B. Tech (Hons.) in Data Sciences and B. Sc. (Hons.) in Decision Sciences.
• School of Liberal Arts and Design Studies: B. Des. in Communication Design, BA (Hons.), and BA (Hons.) with Research
• School of Legal Studies and Governance: BMS LL.B (Hons.) and BA LL.B (Hons.)

Along with these, the Institute offers Ph.D. Programs in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics & Statistics, Material Science, Economics, Psychology, and Sociology & Anthropology.

The University has many national and international collaborations for several purposes such as Joint Projects, Student Exchange Programs, Study Abroad Tours, Research Collaboration, and many more. The institute focuses on Experiential Learning and claims to provide students with a flawless education by preparing them with a people-centric approach, challenge-based learning, interdisciplinary, and domain expertise.

The applicant seeking admission has to visit the admissions tab on the home page of the college website, then scroll down at the bottom of the page, and fill up the Admission Enquiry form and submit it. The candidate is then expected to take up the Career Discovery Quiz set up by the university. A Personal Interview will then be scheduled with the faculty. The selected candidates will then receive a Selection Letter. The acceptance of the letter can be done by the payment of the fee.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates seeking admission must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised board/institution. 

Numerous scholarships are offered to students on various criteria, such as:

• Enabling Scholarship: Up to 100% scholarship is awarded to meritorious students who belong to an economically-weak background.
• Encouragement Scholarship: Up to 100% scholarship is given to all-rounding achievers and specially-abled candidates.
• Merit Scholarship: Up to 100% scholarship is awarded to the students in the 1^st year based on past academic performance. Up to 75% scholarship is awarded to those who have scored more than 1200 marks in SAT Exam.
• Academic Performance Scholarship: Up to 30% scholarship is given to the students from 2^nd year onwards based on their academic performance during the program.
• Vidyashilp University Research Fellowship: All the students seeking to apply to the Ph.D. program are eligible to avail of this fellowship.
